The questions everyone asks. Answers without detours.
Cost, law and compliance, speed, quality: here is how we work, before you place the first order.
What it costs and what is included.
Why are workers from Eastern Europe more affordable?
More affordable does not mean lower quality: lower living costs in the countries of origin allow a different calculation, while pay stays fair and contractually fixed in line with the German minimum wage and collective agreements.
What is included in the hourly rate?
All inclusive as per quote: accommodation, vehicle and transport costs as well as overtime without surcharges, plus placement, ongoing support and administration. The agreed costs are fixed in writing before the assignment starts, and there are no hidden extras.
What do workers from Eastern Europe actually cost?
Semi-skilled workers and production helpers, including licensed forklift drivers, cost €22.50 net per hour. Skilled helpers for assembly and metalwork start at €26.90, certified welders at €31.00. These are indicative rates; the binding terms are set in the quote after the requirement analysis, depending on qualification, duration and model.
How is the service invoiced?
Monthly invoice, lump sum or per project, adapted to your processes.
Employment, insurance and contracts in plain terms.
Is the German minimum wage observed?
Yes. Wages are contractually defined, and German labor law and collective standards apply to the employment relationship. Wage dumping is not compatible with our model.
Are the workers legally employed?
Yes. Every assignment requires either EU citizenship or valid residence and work permits. For workers from third countries, the partner company in the country of origin is responsible for the work permits, and the client site verifies legal eligibility to work. Registration, social insurance and payroll tax are handled properly.
How is social insurance handled?
Through the respective employer: pension, health, long-term care and unemployment insurance are covered within the respective employment relationship.
Which contract models are available?
Temporary staffing (German AÜG, Arbeitnehmerüberlassung), outsourcing to Eastern Europe, contracts for work, subcontracting and direct placement. In temporary staffing, a licensed partner company is the lender and the employer of the workers; Arbeitina acts as intermediary and coordinator, and your company is the client site. We recommend the right model based on the project situation and the contractual arrangement.
How do you avoid bogus self-employment?
We design every model so that it is clearly separated from bogus self-employment and disguised labor leasing, and we turn down anything we cannot separate cleanly, even when that costs us business. The legal assessment in the individual case remains with your company.
From the first call to ongoing support.
How do you ensure quality?
CVs, references and personal interviews are part of every selection; where useful we arrange a trial period or on-site training.
How quickly are workers ready to start?
EU candidates often within a few days, complete teams usually in 7 to 10 days. That window does not apply to third countries such as Vietnam, the Philippines, India or Central Asia: there, recruitment runs through our partner structures on the ground and takes several months until the assignment starts.
How long does recruitment take?
Within the EU, 2 to 6 weeks depending on the profile: helper positions faster, specialized skilled workers correspondingly longer. For workers from Asia, the official deadlines in the country of origin set the schedule, with a lead time of several months.
What does outsourcing to Eastern Europe mean at Arbeitina?
You do not outsource individual workers but an entire manufacturing or process step. We record the process, move it to a site within our Eastern European network and deliver the finished result: a defined work package, fixed unit costs, one contact person, an EU legal framework. The difference to a contract for work is that there our team works inside your company, whereas with outsourcing the work stays with us.
How long do the workers stay?
Depending on the model, 6 to 12 months and longer; many assignments end in permanent employment with the client.
What happens if someone drops out or does not fit?
As agreed, we provide a replacement or put things right, including during a running assignment. Regular support keeps turnover low.
How does an assignment actually get started?
Requirement analysis, candidate selection, contracts and documents, travel and accommodation, then the start with a dedicated contact person. One coordinated process with one contact person.
Do you stay involved after the start?
Yes. “Hand over the keys and disappear” is not our model: we stay in contact with the company and the workers, multilingual support included.
Where the right people come from.
Which countries do you recruit from?
From 21 countries of origin. The focus is on Central and Eastern Europe with 12 countries: Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Croatia, Serbia, Ukraine, Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania; of those, Serbia and Ukraine lie outside the EU, where we work through service, contract-for-work and subcontracting models rather than temporary staffing. Added to that is Asia: Vietnam, the Philippines, India, Nepal, Pakistan as well as the Central Asian countries Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan and Turkmenistan.
Do you also place Vietnamese workers?
Yes. We recruit welders, metal specialists and helpers through our partner structures directly in Vietnam and verify their qualifications on the ground. We act as intermediary and coordinator; the employer remains the partner company in the country of origin, which is also responsible for the work permits. Details are on our page about workers from Vietnam and Asia.
On what legal basis are workers from Asia deployed?
Temporary staffing is reserved for EU citizens. Workers from Vietnam, India, Nepal, Pakistan or Central Asia are therefore deployed exclusively through service, contract-for-work and subcontracting models, never as temporary staffing. The work permit and, where required, the A1 certificate are the responsibility of the partner company in the country of origin; the client site verifies legal eligibility to work before the first working day.
Do you advise on visas and residence permits?
No. Visa consulting and immigration services are not part of what we offer. Recruitment outside the EU runs through partner structures on the ground: we act as intermediary and coordinator, the work permits are the responsibility of the partner company in the country of origin, and your company verifies legal eligibility to work.
How long does recruitment from Vietnam take?
Unlike with EU citizens, employment requires valid work permits, and obtaining them in the country of origin takes several months depending on the occupation. In return the process is predictable: after the requirement analysis we give you a realistic schedule.
